Frequently Asked Questions
How does the DrugCheck® cup work? When does the test start? The donor voids the specimen into the cup, closes the lid, and hands the cup to the test administrator. In the immunoassay process, urine immediately begins to wick up the individual test strips to reactive pads. The test administrator removes the privacy label from the cup to observe drug test results at 5 minutes. A negative result for a drug will display one line each in the Control (C) and Test (T) regions of that strip, while a positive result shows only one line in the Control region. Any presumed positive results should be sent to a lab for confirmation.
Do you provide confirmation services? Yes. Express Diagnostics partners with several labs to provide customers with results within days of a specimen being sent for confirmation.
How much do the screening devices cost? Pricing depends on the number of drugs and/or adulterants in the device and the quantity of devices ordered.
What is the minimum number of devices I can order? The minimum order quantity for in-stock products is 25 devices. Custom configurations require an order of at least 200 devices. Note: Most products ship in 25-count boxes.
When will my order ship? Products in stock will ship that day or the following day, depending on the time the order was placed. Products that require assembly typically ship within a week.
Where can I find a copy of the product insert for my device? PDFs of product inserts (instructions) for our NxScan and NxStep cups and Dip Drug Test can be found on the Resources: Product Information page. Product inserts for most devices are posted to their respective pages on the website.
